HGBF Crossbone Gundam Maoh Mini Review

The Crossbone Gundam Maoh was a design that I honestly didn't like at first glance, I thought it looked really simple and the skull looked out of place. But I eventually grew to the concept after watching the final few episodes of Build Fighters, which made me respect the MS a lot more. I always loved giant destructive cannons that shoot stuff, and while I wasn't a huge fan of the Maoh's skull face at first, I quickly grew to love it after watching the show and watching it in action was enough to convince me to get a kit of it, an early purchase that I did not regret.

The completed kit is frankly a very good one, there are very little issues I can think about off the bat if at all, and even with this, it's got a lot of positives going for it. The worst issue I can think of are the reflective foil stickers used all around the MS for the reflective mirrors around the MS, but that's a given for the concept of what they do. He's also got pretty damn good articulation, limitations in possibility are minorm and better articulation would just be nitpicking at that point.

Despite all the cool things about the kit so far though, what really sells the kit is the amount of accessories he has. This guy comes with an absolute arsenal, you get a total of 7 clear effect parts for all the stuff it comes with, and in whole you get an insane amount of stuff to use, and it even comes with the Skull Satellite Cannon in his chest to top that. No we don't get an effect part for it, although I don't think it was expected to come with one either. The accessories have some nice gimmicks too, and while the backpack doesn't detach with core fighter, it makes up for it with the fact it has sub arms with an extra pair of beam sabers which can also function as beam guns, and it has both blade and shooting effect parts for said guns which is awesome.

Verdict:

The HGBF Crossbone Gundam Maoh is an absolutely fantastic kit. There are so little flaws with this, and it does great things. It's design may seem a bit barebones in terms of detail and color separation but this kit makes up for it with insane amount of accessories, display options and articulation. You get some really cool accessories and gimmicks with this kit, and the amount of stuff is no laughing matter. The base it itself is more simple than some, yes, but it offers a ton of playability and displaying options, if you like accessories and unique MS, this is a must buy.

Pros:

- A ton of accessories, and tones of options to display this thing with. (!)
- Beam effect parts galore, even has sub arm guns for them.
- Articulation is great on this kit.
- Skull Satellite Cannon can open up and looks awesome, although no effect part.

Cons:

- Uses quite a bit of stickers for the reflective mirrors around the MS.
